Laugharne is situated on the Taf estuary. There are many wallks around the township, a Norman castle to visit(open April 1st-31st October) Dylan Thomas's Boathouse-the former poet's rtesidence for several years and now open as a museum and a splendid Norman Church. The long beach at Pendine is 10 minutes drive away. Laugharne is ideally situated to explore Pembrokeshire and is 30 minutes drive from Cenarth falls on the River Tiefi, and the coastline of Ceridigion is an hour away. There are many attractions within Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, other than the numerous stunning beaches.
